The City of Fredericksburg will host a City Hall at East Campus Community Welcome from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, inviting the public to tour the new City Hall and meet City staff. The event will take place at the new facility at 2818 E. U.S. Highway 290, which officially opened for business on April 27. Informal tours will be offered throughout the afternoon, and refreshments will be provided. The Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting is scheduled for 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Community Welcome gives residents an opportunity to explore the City’s new administrative facility, learn more about City services, and see how the space supports improved accessibility and customer service. Attendees will also have the chance to connect directly with City staff. City Hall at East Campus was created through the renovation of the former Hill Country University Center and now serves as the City’s primary administrative hub, housing customer service functions, administrative offices, and City Council chambers.
