Farmers Market Water Wise Event

The City of Fredericksburg will collaborate with the Fredericksburg Farmers Market to host a Water Wise event on Thursday, July 9 from 4-7 p.m. https://www.fbgtx.org/m/newsflash/home/detail/1013 During the weekly farmers market, City staff along with various community organizations, will be present in the Oktoberfest Halle to educate visitors to the market on water conservation and being water wise. In addition to the Public Works Department, Code Enforcement, the Pedernales River Alliance, Gillespie County AgriLife Extension, and the Native Plant Society are slated to be represented. Educational materials will be available including ways to practice good water conservation, how to plant drought-tolerant landscapes and ways to avoid watering violations. Attendees can also enter to win a Garden in a Box, which includes native plants and information on how to plant and maintain them.
