Description

The 8th Annual Fredericksburg Turkey Trot will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025 — the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This beloved community tradition is a family-friendly day of fitness and fun, featuring a 1-mile fun run, 5K run/walk, and 10K run/walk. This year, we are proud to announce a special partnership between the Fredericksburg Police Department Foundation Fund and Heart of the Hills Resources. Together, we are working to make this event our biggest and best yet. 

A portion of proceeds will support the Fredericksburg Police Department Foundation Fund, which provides critical funding not covered by the regular city budget — including officer housing, equipment, and advanced training.

Funds directed to Heart of the Hills Resources will strengthen our Thrive Program, helping single or at-risk mothers with safe housing, reliable transportation, employment, counseling, and essential support — all at no cost to clients.

9:00 AM 5k Start 

10:00 AM Fun Run 

Entry Fees: 

Early registration (through November 28th) Fun Run prices will not change day of race. This year we are offering a Youth option of 10 and under to run for free, if you do not want a shirt for them. Youth wanting a shirt should pre-register for the standard Fun Run. The shirts are $20 and can be bought separately. People who are not planning to run may also purchase one of these awesome shirts.
