Description

From Sheep to Shawl will take you through the full journey of wool through demonstrations and hands on experiences. This event will include sheep shearing, wool washing, yarn spinning, natural dyes, knitting, weaving, and more! Learn about sheep, their wool, and the long history they have with humans. Demonstrations will be done by members of the Fredericksburg Spinning Guild, The Weavers and Spinners Society of Austin, and Right Choice Shearing. Where: Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm (all visitors must check in at visitor center) When: ongoing demonstrations between 10am & 2pm
