About
Robert Clay Vineyards began as one of the early vineyard plantings in Mason, Texas—quietly tucked away in the Hill Country before the region had found its voice. In 2012, Dan McLaughlin took over the neglected land, restoring the vines with care and a deep belief in the potential of Texas terroir. Over time, his son joined him, becoming an integral part of the vineyard’s evolution and carrying forward the vision with a new generation of energy and precision. Together, as a father-son team, they farm the land themselves and craft each wine by hand—producing small-lot, estate-grown wines that speak with clarity, restraint, and soul. From vine to bottle, every detail reflects their shared commitment to authenticity, patience, and the enduring legacy of Robert Clay.
