Formando Winery is seeking a passionate and creative Culinary Manager to lead the

kitchen and culinary program while delivering elevated, approachable food experiences

that complement our wines and hospitality vision.

This role is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu development, food

quality, staff leadership, inventory management, and execution of a scratch-to-table

culinary program focused on fresh, seasonal ingredients and thoughtful hospitality.

The ideal candidate values simplicity done exceptionally well, thrives in a collaborative

Compensation

Salary: $45,000–$55,000

Reports To

Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

● Lead development and execution of a fresh, scratch-made food program.

● Create seasonal menus

● Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion standards.

● Collaborate with ownership and hospitality teams on food and wine pairings.

● Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations and service execution.

● Manage prep schedules, production systems, and kitchen workflow.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment.

● Recruit, hire, train, and manage kitchen staff.

● Train team members on recipes, food safety, prep systems, and presentation

standards.

● Manage food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships.

● Monitor food cost, labor cost, and kitchen profitability.

● Maintain recipe consistency and portion controls.

● Support winery events, wine club experiences, private dinners, and special

programming.

● Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.

● Maintain proper storage, labeling, and cleanliness standards.

● Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.

Qualifications

● 3+ years of kitchen management or culinary leadership experience preferred.

● Strong organizational and communication skills.

● Food Manager Certification

Compensation & Benefits

● Competitive salary based on experience

● Annual performance bonus opportunity of up to 5% of salary

● Eligibility for monthly performance and revenue-sharing bonus program

beginning in Year 2
