Position Summary
Formando Vineyards is seeking a hospitality-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily winery operations, guest experience, staffing, and service execution. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the tasting room, events, food service, and guest hospitality while helping build a strong team culture and operational systems from the ground up.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, calm under pressure, and passionate about creating memorable guest experiences in a luxury yet approachable winery environment.
Compensation
Salary: $65,000–$75,000

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily tasting room operations, food operations and guest service standards.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences and handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Create and maintain a culture of hospitality, teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and manage front-of-house staff.
- Develop staff schedules, oversee labor management, and maintain operational consistency.
- Foster team morale, engagement, and professional development.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflows.
- Coordinate inventory management for wine, merchandise, food service items, and operational supplies.
- Monitor sales trends, guest feedback, and operational performance to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
- Plan and execute winery events, wine club pickups, private events, and special guest experiences.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, presentation, and hospitality standards are maintained throughout the property.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable TABC regulations, food safety requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming work environment for guests and staff.
- Oversee facility operations, including maintenance scheduling, repairs, vendor management, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and maintain maintenance checklists to ensure operational readiness.
- Collaborate with ownership and leadership to support winery growth, operational improvements, and long-term business objectives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hospitality, winery, restaurant, or tasting room management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with POS systems and reservation platforms.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Wine knowledge preferred but not required.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and events.
