Description

Join us for this special Halloween event to learn about native animals and their features with Ranger Hannah, then turn your imagination on high and create your own Texas cryptid based on our critters! Explore the features and adaptations of native Texas animals, including their fur, horns/antlers, tracks, and defense mechanisms. Then, learn about some staple Texas cryptids formed from misunderstandings of these animals. Finally, use the evidence at hand to create your very own cryptid, complete with folklore and an illustration! 

Meet: Gazebo on Summit Trail.

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Day passes can be purchased ahead of time on our website.
